First Aid Tips for Shoulder Pain Relief

You are faced with tons of work and deadlines to beat. The least thing that you want to feel is shoulder pain, or worse, a frozen shoulder. But if it is already the case, you must create means for you to be able to function well before you have time to go to your doctor. But such case only applies if the pain is tolerable. If not, you must tell your superiors about the condition of your shoulder and request if you could be taken to the nearest hospital.

If you think that your shoulder pain is still manageable and you can last on your job for a couple more hours before you seek treatment, there are first aid tips that you can apply. Here are some things that you can do in order to regain some strength and manage the things that still need to be done.

1. Lie on your back and give your inflamed joints some needed rest. Do not sleep for quite a time because extended immobilization may lead to frozen shoulder. And besides, you can only afford some minutes or so because you must still finish all your tasks before you can go to your doctor.

2. If you have access to an ice pack or heat pads, you can put it on the injured part. If there is none, you can try filling a bottle with hot water, wrap it on a towel and rest it on your shoulder until the swelling of your joints subsides.
